🕊The Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa ( Capetown, South Africa) has announced the death of its Executive Director and Chief Curator, Koyo Kouoh.

Later last year, "Madame Koyo" was appointed as the Curator of the 61st Venice Arts Biennale (2026). She was the first African woman to lead the Biennale.

The Cameroonian born was a respected figure in the global arts landscape and was committed to uplifting the African voices.

She was 58 years old.

May her soul rest in peace.

In Zambia, Margret Chola , a grandmother in her mid 80ies, became a viral fashion influencer after accepting to play dress-up for and being photographeed by her granddaughter ( a fashion stylist based in New-York). The result is a stunning collection of high fashion pictures.

Nigeria's representative at Miss Universe, Chidimma Adetshina, finished first runner-up. The grand finale of the pageantry took place earlier this morning, November 17, 2024 ( 4: 00 am, SAST) , at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.
