"Spirit Animal"

I started this as an attempt to create a Big Five series of drawings. As I did research on the animals I actually found this one to relate more to my personality and my overall nature. Of course this is my perspective of myself 😅. Leopards are considered to be solitary and very shy, yet they also possess a lot of strength. I'm a person who likes to keep to themselves and I like to think that the inner strength that I have in me has led me to where I am now. I am also very territorial about things that are close to me, like my art and anything and anyone else that touches my heart. So I do feel this is my spirit animal and I am thankful always for the chance to put my thoughts on paper like this 🙂

"WAVES"

I've always had a deep love for swimming but I never quite liked doing it during P.E in highschool because it genuinely just felt forced because we'd do relays and whatnot 😅 but now I enjoy swimming on my own terms and I love going to the beach too, I just don't have many opportunities to do so. And our continent has beautiful beaches if I may say so myself. So I feel I'm at the beach everytime I look at this painting and that makes me happy 😊 hope you feel the same ❤️

P.S: my favorite color is blue also so this is my favorite definitely 😁

"SKIN"

If you look at this piece, you'll find every skin tone under the African sun. Yet with all the hate surrounding our different skin tones we tend to forget that we all have the same color blood running through our veins, hence the red. We should try harder to love each other more, because at the end of the day we're all humans and we bleed the same.

As I begin to reveal my 2022 collection...

"ELEMENTS"

Firstly, I'd like to send a major thank you to for hosting us for this year's art exhibition ❤️❤️ This painting is a continuation of my acrylic paint pouring theme. I decided to do an African style theme for my collection this year and this one combines my love for weather and art. This painting combines all elements: Earth, Water, Fire and Air. As Africans, we are very nature orientated and we thrive best when we are within our elements. When I showed this to people others saw galaxies in outer space. And I am very open to different interpretations of my pieces because that makes it individual to a person, and we all are as Africans.

I do what I do to create an experience. Not one piece is the same as the previous which makes my job quite exciting I must say 😅 I enjoy creating things that represent the different people I deal with. And that just shows how different we all are from one another. Even for my regular customers it's a joyful experience brainstorming new pieces. Its very refreshing 🙂 I really do love my job ❤️
