Dance Tribe SA -fusion bellydance Tribal fusion Bellydance comes from the base of American tribal Style (ATS) bellydance originated in the 90s by FatChanceBellydance.

We are a Fusion Belly Dance studio based in Kzn which aims to provide safe, fun technical training with a theatrical flair that draws from our roots and pairs it with modern music and inspiration. Although we do fusion work, we do try to keep to the roots of what tribal means... and that is a strength in sisterhood, a concentration on technique and building on a strong core (both physically as well as movement-wise) and making sure we continue to learn and grow as dancers. We strive for a high standard in our studio with realising that not everyone wants to be a professional and therefore we encourage a sense of fun, laughter and for all our dancers to challenge themselves a bit each week, whether its physical or emotional or in technique we want people to grow with us... to become the women they are meant to be and to find strength in themselves. That is ultimately what this dance-form means to us and the people we admire have helped us to feel that way about ourselves, we want to pass it on! Join us in the spirit of Womenhood and growth and see for yourself!!!!!

Last weekend Tarah from Dance Tribe and Ioleen from Left of Centre Dance performed at the "Feast of the Crimson Scale" at the Camelot Castle.
Clashing Knights, firey entertainment and of course bellydancers helped make this medieval feast come to life.
We had so much fun dancing amongst the guests and together, with our curated Playlist fitting the theme.

HAPPY WORLD BELLYDANCE DAY!
Today was started by Lydia Tzigane many years ago to showcase our Dance form and raise awareness, funds and donations for charities. Lydia has since passed, but her legacy lives on world wide.
Here in kzn our wbdd event has been postponed till a bit later on in the year, but I value the relationships, connections and collaborations that have happened because we share in our Dance connection. It always makes me happy to see the community come together for a good cause and to just enjoy our passion in Dance.
Sending love and lots of raising money and collections good vibes for those celebrating their events today.
Dance has made my world better... let's help make others lives better too.
