A well-crafted film is more than just entertainment; it’s a vessel for profound messages and timeless wisdom. A film can be an effective teaching tool because it can effectively engage students, facilitate meaningful experiences, and encourage critical thinking, contemplation, conversations, or analysis
The Ithuba Film Festival in partnership with the Jozini Filmmakers Association started an initiative for schools in jozini that offers students an opportunity to learn more about the ins an out of the film industry and we offer them basic script writing workshops & camera work and more jobs opportunities found in the film industry that they can pursue once finished school.
Just like books, movies allow students insight into the lives of different characters, how their perspective differs, and how they handle certain situations. Films can show students how different people, in different parts of the world, live their lives.
