The Universe on Stage joins forces with Joburg Ballet for an immersive blend of space, dance, and multimedia. Catch the show at Joburg Theatre as part of the Spring Season of Dance in October 2025.

At its heart, it’s a story about how the processes that shaped galaxies, stars, and black holes are the same processes that ripple through our own lives. Just as celestial bodies trace patterns in the sky, movement reveals the flow of energy from the vastness of space to the intimacy of being human.

This is a first-of-its-kind creation — born from choreographer Mario Gagliones fascination with our work on Hidden Giants - he had a vision to bring dance a new instrument of story telling.

Some behind the scenes of and getting together to go through the show.

It’s amazing at how Siobhan just picks up from what Yash is playing and follows on. This is super exciting for us to play around with and experiment.

Siobhan has over 20 years of experience playing the violin so she is perfectly suited for joining the team as the guest violinist in this season of Hidden Giants at the Joburg theatre on May 8 and 9.

Meet our guest violinist, Siobhan Lloyd-Jones who will be performing alongside Yash on the grand piano in the "Hidden Giants" production at the Joburg Theatre, May 8th and 9th.

With over 20 years of rich classical and jazz experience, Siobhan's violin will introduce a breathtaking new emotional layer to our production, creating melodies that resonate deeply and stir the imagination.

A Gauteng-based musician, Siobhan divides her time between enjoying great coffee, performing, and inspiring her students. Her diverse musical journey has taken her from rigorous classical training, earning a licentiate from ABRSM, to exploring jazz and folk genres, and passionately embracing improvisation. She currently performs with the gypsy jazz band Swing Party and also the Candlelight Concert series with the Protea String Quartet.

We are so excited to welcome Siobhan and her expressive violin to our stage—get ready for an unforgettable experience! We cannot wait!
