Here are the final instructions and info for the auditions

Requirements:
- Prepare two poems (max 3 minutes each)
- All languages are welcome
- There will be a possibility of two rounds

Selection:
- Limited to the first 20 people to arrive on the day
- only 10 poets will be selected for the next season

Date: 25th of April 2026
Times: 2pm - 4pm
Venue: The South African State Theatre

The new season begins! Step onto the mic, bring your best 5 minute poem, and battle for R2000 in cash or Bitcoin.

Only 20 performance slots are available, so if you want to slam, sign up early. The sign-up sheet goes up from 10am. To enter, simply arrive early at Kippies - The Market Theatre, buy your ticket, and add your name to the list. It’s strictly first come, first served.

This is your first chance to start accumulating points on the road to the Season 12 Finale, where the top 5 poets will battle for the crown.
