- Fynbos Conspicuous - oil on canvas
Feel the colours. Fynbos is part of me, part of my everyday life. When we drive somewhere and I gaze out of the passenger window, all the colours of the fynbos become a hazed mix of beautiful colours. Patches of orange Erica's, vibrant yellow pincushions, pink Proteas and lime-green Tolbos adorn the mountains when it is their time to speak. The Morse code of colour is sending a breathtaking message to those who look for it. I appreciate the fynbos biome and I had to feel it on canvas.

"Mushi" 91x60 cm (excl. Frame) by Daswyf. Created as the female counterpart of the wonderous artwork "untitled" created by Izumi Kato. The chemical formula of Hornet venom is specially added to the painting by Daswyf for . This painting was painted with an Ibis feather, piece of towel, bubble plastic and a cork. Inscribed on the neck of the female figure, the Japanese word "Mushi" (from the anime series Mushishi) can be seen. The ubiquitous creatures in the background of the painting is known as mushi, seemingly magical creatures. Lifeforms that are known to be the purest form of life & more primitive than normal living things such as animals, plants, fungi, and bacteria. If you look closely, you will find that everything around us is connected.

When you dream, you can design and create great things. Elon musk is changing the world in wonderful ways. Non-polluting cars, space travel and driving Bitcoin to the new way of transacting. It sounds like a sci-fi movie... If Elon can drive these great things in the world - Imagine what great things his son X Æ A-Xii will bring to this world by learning from his parents. A new dawn is rising. Great worlds can be created, first you have to dream it.

This digital artwork "We need more of this" is for the RAD foundation fundraiser. RAD stands for Rural Arts Development. RAD Foundation believes in M.A.G.I.C (Music and Arts Growing Inspired Children), and introduces the Arts to Rural communities. Their aim is to get youth off the streets and into an environment where they can learn, grow and achieve manageable goals.

Today a thought crossed my mind about all of us amidst the Corona virus pandemic. How good does it feel to give a hug, to stand together as a people, community, nation, country, in this world?

"algorithmic octopus" 36x48 inch 91.4x121.9cm
This artwork illustrates the concept of schooling/swarming via an unimodal optimization algorithm.
When we look at schooling fish, the Barycenter (center of mass) is calculated based on the position and weight of each fish. Then when the total school weight has increased from the previous iteration the fish are attracted to the Barycenter according to the formula on the artwork.
In the artwork all the fish are congregating towards the Octopus via its tentacles, making the octopus the Barycenter.
It just gives me a thrill to put some math in my Art. Maths is beautiful.
