IF YOU GOT RAF MONEY BEFORE LETS HELP YOU.
Many of these lawyers are thugs and they appear to be clean with expensive taste.
This is how the RAF Fraud, attorney theft and breach of trust works.
1. RAF pays R1,000,000 to the attorney’s trust account
2. Lawyer tells client "RAF only gave R400,000" 3. Lawyer pays R400k to client, pockets R600k + claims "costs"
4. Client signs final settlement without seeing the RAF offer or court order
Since RAF pays the lawyer directly the client never sees the real amount.
In fact during the claiming period you might have seen some red flags đźš©
1. Lawyer refuses to show you the RAF offer/ court order/ settlement agreement
2. Settlement is paid to lawyer’s trust account first, not to you
3. Lawyer pressures you: "Take it or you’ll get nothing"
4. No detailed breakdown of costs, medicals, disbursements
5. Takes years, then "RAF only paid small amount"
If you feel you are a victim of this you need to demand a paper trail in writing today. Send an email to your lawyer asking for the following:
Dear (X)
In terms of the Legal Practice Act and RAF rules, please provide within 7 days:
1. Copy of RAF offer of settlement / court order
2. Full settlement statement with breakdown of capital, costs, medicals
3. Proof of payment from RAF to your trust account
4. Proof of payment from your trust to me
After getting all this then contact RAF on 0860 23 23 23 ask them what was the final settlement amount paid to my attorney?
Give them your ID and claim number. RAF will confirm what they paid.
If money is missing then report it.
1. Legal Practice Council / Law Society, for attorney theft. They can freeze trust accounts.
2. SIU / Hawks, If it’s a pattern of RAF fraud
3. RAF, Report the attorney. RAF can blacklist them.
4. Police, Open fraud case CAS number
