"Epic Training"
Mixed Media on reclaimed wood and Gold Leaf

"Epic Training" captures the quiet intensity of preparation—the unseen hours where discipline is built. The cyclist leans into the effort, moving through shifting planes of light and shadow that mirror the mental and physical demands of training. A diagonal line of gold cuts across the surface, symbolising purpose and direction amid the grind.

"Gravel Alone"
Mixed Media on reclaimed wood and Gold Leaf

"Gravel Alone" reflects the solitary rhythm of endurance cycling. The rider moves through a fractured landscape of light, shadow, and texture, where the road becomes both a physical and emotional path.

"Mary Magdalene washed"
Mixed Media on reclaimed wood and Gold Leaf (420 x 594)

Mary Magdalene Washed reflects a moment of quiet renewal after the act of washing Christ’s feet with perfume. Her gentle gesture of combing her hair suggest, tenderness, and restored dignity. The work portrays Magdalene not in shame, but in a state of grace.

"Mary Magdalene and the Christ"
Mixed Media on reclaimed wood and Gold Leaf (420 x 594)

The work explores the intimate, often-debated bond between Mary Magdalene and Jesus—one that has inspired centuries of speculation, devotion, and reinterpretation. Their foreheads touch in a moment of quiet unity, suggesting a connection that transcends doctrine: human, spiritual, and deeply compassionate. The intertwined hands symbolize trust and mutual recognition. Through bold colours and gentle posture, the painting invites viewers to consider Magdalene not merely as a witness, but as someone profoundly seen, valued, and understood by Christ.

"Mary Magdalene in sorrow"
Mixed Media on reclaimed wood and Gold Leaf (594 x 841)

In Mary Magdalene in Sorrow, the figure sits in quiet contemplation, burdened by remorse and redemption. The gold circle behind her evokes sanctity and transcendence, contrasting with the earthy reds of suffering and humanity. The modern perfume bottle—shaped like an apple—links the biblical act of anointing with the original sin, reframing woman’s fall as both a curse and a symbol of deep compassion. The work reimagines Magdalene not as a sinner, but as a vessel of grace, holding within her the complexity of temptation, grief, and forgiveness.
