Natyamanni Sadhna Ramklass has dabbled in Bharatanatyam dance from a young age. In 2006, Sadhna joined the Kumari Ambigay Dance Institute and commenced her formal training in Bharatanatyam under the expert guidance of Kumari Ambigay. She has matured in this dance form, following six years of rigorous training. She became the 105th graduate of the Kumari Ambigay Dance Institue in 2013. Sadhna has d
isplayed her versatility in dance and dance choreography through performances at pre-nuptial ceremonies, celebrations of religious festivals at Avoca Cultural Society, the Durban Ganesha Festival, Gujarati Hindu Sanskruti Kendra’s Rangeeli Shaam and many events hosted by the Indian Consulate. Sadhna obtained her Bharathnatyam’s Teacher’s Training Certificate in 2017, thus she is recognised as a qualified Bharatanatyam teacher. In addition to dance, Sadhna is a first-year Civil Engineering student at UKZN. She has also studied Western violin and is a guest vocalist in a local Durban band.
