"More than 10 years ago , I was flying a helicopter for the SAPS in one of the rural areas North of KZN.One of the local Police officers asked me to land at a nearby school after our operation at that area.I landed at the school, spoke to the young learners and I remember a young girls telling one of the young boys ,in a very excited voice " She can fly ".From that day I never looked back and whenever I had a job at an area, after completing the Operation I would land at a nearby school.This is one of the things our foundation does.Just by being visible and accessible we have been able to inspire this young girls to believe that they can.
In the more than 10 years doing this work ,I am mostly proud of the aviation and space curriculum for high school learners .As someone that is passionate about academia ,this is by far one of the most exciting project that I have done.Our content will be available both off and online starting January."-Refilwe Ledwaba
