Dear esteemed friends and family,

It is with profound concern and compassion that we reach out to you today on behalf of a cherished member of our artistic community. Carlo Radebe, a distinguished South African actor, voice artist, and thespian, is facing a period of profound hardship and uncertainty.

As we are all acutely aware, the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic have been particularly severe for those in the arts, film, and television industries.

Despite his remarkable talent and unwavering dedication, Carlo has encountered insurmountable obstacles in his journey to regain stability.

Evicted from his previous residence, he now resides in humble conditions on the outskirts of Johannesburg, grappling with the stark reality of sustaining himself on a meager government grant of only R350 per month.

In this moment of adversity, Carlo finds himself unable to access the basic necessities required to pursue his craft with the dignity and professionalism it deserves. The lack of resources hinders his ability to connect with casting agents, submit audition materials, and even fulfill his most basic needs.

With Carlo's consent, we humbly implore you to extend a helping hand in any capacity you can offer.

Whether through financial contributions, valuable time, provision of airtime, offering closer accommodation, or simply sharing this plea with those who may be able to assist, your support could make an immense difference in alleviating Carlo's plight.

Should you wish to offer assistance directly, please forward him an email at [email protected]

Let us unite in our efforts to uplift one of our own, enabling Carlo to reclaim his dignity and continue pursuing his artistic passion with renewed vigor.

Your generosity and compassion are deeply appreciated.

In any given year, more than 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S. More than half that number are people of color that the country seems to forget about.

Public relations specialist Gabi Mosely (series star and producer Shanola Hampton) — who was once herself one of those forgotten ones — and her crisis management team now make sure there is always someone looking out for the forgotten missing people. But unbeknownst to anyone, this everyday hero is hiding a chilling secret of her own in this drama from executive producer/writer Nkechi Okoro Carroll (All American) and Berlanti Productions.

In this riveting new drama, Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton) will stop at nothing to find the missing and forgotten… but to get results, she hides a chilling se...

BET commissioned renowned lyricist Black Thought of The Roots to pen A Love Letter to Hip Hop in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of an art form originally founded in the Bronx in 1973 as a form of expression and peaceful conflict resolution for Black and Brown communities.

This visual masterpiece further immerses viewers through the use of original photographs that preserve the moments when Hip Hop was born, grew, and has flourished.

What sets this tribute apart is its authenticity, featuring live performances from artists who represent the five fundamental elements of Hip Hop: Breakdancing, DJing, MCing, Graffiti art, and Knowledge. In homage to Black silent films of the 1920s, Finerman directs a poignant story about a young woman named Rose (Copeland), who has had to place her dreams on hold to care for her mother, Gloria (Christina Johnson), living with dementia. A potent subtext to the film is the housing affordability crisis that's devastated the Bay Area.

As Rose struggles to keep a roof over their heads, she watches the neighborhood around her fade away much like her mother's memory, until the mysterious Sterling (Babatunji Johnson) helps to highlight the power of community and the strength found through unity, bringing Rose renewed hope for the future.
