Thunderbikes & Brunch Run Returns!!!!More Races. More Excitement. More Two-Wheel Mayhem.
After more than a year on the sidelines, Thunderbikes and Brunch Run are finally back!
The Pretoria based motorcycle racing series makes its long awaited return at the end of October, kicking off a three-round sprint to the end of the 2026 season, with racing every month and the final showdown on 13 December.
And if the entry lists are anything to go by, the comeback is going to be worth the wait.
The Thunderbikes grid is already stacked, with big names and big machinery lining up for battle around the 2.4 kilometre Zwartkops circuit. Henk Kruger, Daryn Upton, Clive Turnbull, Triston Potgieter, Jarryd Ullyett, Clinton Pearson and Robert Ferreira are among those ready to go to war, with Yamaha R1s, Kawasaki ZX-10Rs, BMW 1000RRs and KTM machinery all set to hit the grid.
But don’t overlook the Brunch Run field.
It’s a proper mix of experienced racers, returning competitors and newcomers looking to make their mark. Shannon Anderson, Marike Rothquel, Christo Niemand, Laila Williams, Andrew Jones, Brad Radestock, Danie Momberg, Johan Swart, Clifford Ogle and Kevin Campher are just some of the riders preparing to throw a leg over and see who’s got the pace.
With two heats per class, there will be little room for mistakes. Get the start wrong, lose the tow or leave the door open for a rival and you could find yourself fighting your way back through the pack.
The racing runs alongside the Honda Brunch Cruise, creating a full day of two wheel action at Zwartkops, after a year where motorcycle racing has been noticeably quiet around the circuit, the return couldn’t come at a better time!
Spectators get in FREE. So bring the family, bring your mates and get yourself trackside.
