Last month, The Kingdom of Ubuntu was more than a stage production, it was a powerful gathering of voices, stories and spirit. From the first note to the final bow, every moment echoed with unity, passion and African excellence.

AfriArts Choir joins the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra for an unforgettable evening of Song of Praise at Cape Town City Hall on 16 April at 19:30.

Featuring the brilliance of Petrus Coetzee and under the baton of Nicholas Chalmers, with music by Ludwig van Beethoven, Béla Bartók, and Felix Mendelssohn.

AfriArts Chorus proudly joins the powerful collaboration behind The Kingdom of Ubuntu Musical, a bold Afro epic brought to life by Elvis Sibeko Studios at Artscape on 6 and 7 March 2026.

Rooted in unity, rhythm and heritage, this groundbreaking production weaves together all 11 official South African languages into one unforgettable story of love, leadership, betrayal and triumph. And we are ready to lift the roof with harmonies that celebrate the true spirit of Ubuntu, I am because we are.

Sharing the stage with phenomenal artists, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra, an indigenous orchestra led by Dizu Plaatjies, and the dynamic Sibonelo Dance Project, this is more than a show. It is a cultural moment.
