Get ready! Another exciting speaker is set to jump on stage at SEA 2026!
Alan van Gysen is one of the world’s most respected surf photographers. With an inextinguishable drive and natural flair, he has spent twenty years carving his mark on the international scene, capturing the artistry of South Africa’s and the world’s top surfers. Preferring to shoot from the water, Alan feeds off his subject’s energy. In his life and work, Alan maintains an infectious positivity, meticulous work ethic, and down-to-earth attitude. Based in the coastal suburb of Kommetjie, Cape Town, he balances a flourishing career with his wife, three children, and the beaches he loves to surf”, says Brendon Bosworth in his article, Alan van Gysen: Behind The Lens.
He is also co-founder of Now Now, a film-making duo with will.bendix. Based on the southern tip of Africa, they specialise in documentary and commercial production inspired by the sea, but venture inland from time-to-time too. No matter the location or subject, they tell authentic stories that inform, entertain, and empower.
