Seen spanning over the tramway is a massive arched bridge. It is called the crystal towers bridge and was designed by Vivid Architects.
The bridge uses diagonal, flowing curves and opposing walkway/arch forms held by tensioned support cables to create a striking gateway at the waterfront. Color-changing LEDs at night add a “gateway of light” over the canal.

Landscape of the Soul is a 33m subway walkway installation of fragmented masks arranged in a flowing wave of faces. It was made by Anton Smit and I t explores how humans are all broken and disconnected, but only through love and connection with others do our individual fragments form a complete identity. Graeme Lees composed WATER MUSIC 2 3, a musical palindrome that plays while people view the art, with several musicians performing.

Today we are looking at the “Concrete Present” which sits near the Century City hotel along the tracks.
The artwork uses a concrete sculpture shaped like a flowing ribbon to capture the tension between fleeting time and timelessness. The delicate, moving form of the ribbon represents softness, change, and the passage of time, while the hard, heavy concrete makes that moment permanent. Titled Concrete Present, the piece reflects the duality of feeling timelessness within a single moment — the “present” made concrete.
