TED TALK: SEXUAL HARASSMENT AT WORK
TED TALK: How we can end sexual harassment at work.
When Gretchen Carlson spoke out about her experience of workplace sexual harassment, it inspired women everywhere to take their power back and tell the world what happened to them. In a remarkable, fierce talk, she tells her story -- and identifies three specific things we can all do to create safer places to work. "We will no longer be underestimated, intimidated or set back," Carlson says. "We will stand up and speak up and have our voices heard. We will be the women we were meant to be."

Harness The Power of Relationship Building, Networking and Mentorship
For the final edition of our work-readiness series, we focus on networking and mentorship, and how integral it is to employment and career progression. Seeking out and working in collaboration with others who share your interests and values enables you to reach a higher level of success than you would on your own. As with any sort of investment, networking requires attention and effort. Your ability to build a network of authentic personal and professional relationships is possibly your biggest asset. Our featured guest is Khanya Mkoto, Director of the Young Catalyst, One Young World Ambassador and Global Youth Ambassador. Loyiso Mdebuka, a catalyst for youth development and transformative conversations (also known as DJ Loyd on 5FM) will be leading this conversation. The Young Catalyst is a platform created for conversations and stories of (and from) young leaders. The aim is to empower, encourage, educate and ignite young leaders to step into their power. The Young Catalyst conversations have touched on many important topics before - from unemployment, entrepreneurship and leadership toLGBTQI+, mental health and more. With Khanya's guidance, intellect and charming personality, it's a global platform that continues to touch on important societal concerns by inviting some of the world's older and younger thought leaders. Learn to harness the power of relationship building, networking and mentorship - an invaluable skill set for everyone, no matter who or where you are in life. Join us Thursday, 4 November 2021 at 4PM SAST [10AM EST]. NB! We strive to have a two-way conversation with the audience, so if you have any particular challenges or questions related to the conversation, we encourage you to share them on the registration form ahead of time to ensure we cover them.
