- My lock screen -

The year 2019-
A time less frightening,
But 2020
The streets were empty.
That's when we parted
And our hearts were targeted.

A group of friends
Broke apart at different bends.
The home of love and joy we built
Crumbled and spilled.
Our symbol and all
Had started to fall...

And it's my lock screen
Cause it's locked behind a screen.
I spent decades crying,
Thoughts stuck on what we could've been.
I wish we were back to the simple times
A place of joy, a place divine
A time of friends who were forever mine.

And it's my lock screen
Cause it holds...
Meaning to me.

- Storm -

Grey rolling water down
Fog travels without sound
The abyss makes me frown
Ice splashing with a pound
Lightning fills the sky
Clouds dark with streams of light
The sun hides like it's shy
As terror strikes the night...

In the end everyone's alright.

New year, new start and school kicking off again next week.
If you’re looking in the mirror and feeling a bit unsure, that’s okay.
You don’t have to have everything sorted on day one.
Give yourself time to settle in, time to grow and time to figure things out.
This year, be kind to yourself; you’re doing the best you can, and that’s enough.
