THEY WERE TARGETED BECAUSE THEY WERE CLOSE TO ME

Taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni links the attacks on DJ Sumbody and DJ Vettys to their association with him.

Taxi boss Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni has made a startling claim before the Madlanga Commission: DJ Sumbody and DJ Vettys were allegedly targeted because of their proximity to him.

Sibanyoni told the commission that he knew both entertainers through social and entertainment circles. He met DJ Sumbody, whose real name was Oupa John Sefoka, through the musician’s father, who was involved in the taxi industry.

According to Sibanyoni, their relationships were social and did not involve significant financial or business dealings.

He believes the attempted assassination of DJ Vettys and the murder of DJ Sumbody formed part of a wider pattern of violence directed at people within his circle.

The most disturbing part of his testimony was his claim that fi****ms used during an attempt on his life in August 2022 were later linked through ballistic evidence to DJ Sumbody’s murder in November of the same year.

Sibanyoni presented this alleged connection as evidence that they were victims of the same criminal network not members of it.

These remain claims made during testimony and should not be treated as final findings by the commission. However, they introduce another disturbing dimension to one of South Africa’s most haunting celebrity murder cases.

Was DJ Sumbody killed simply because of the people he knew, or is there still a much bigger story waiting to be uncovered?

Matshidiso and her husband, Kelvin Shai, appear to have kissed and made up after enduring one of the most difficult and publicly embarrassing chapters of their marriage.

A video of the couple enjoying themselves at Propaganda Pretoria has surfaced. Matshidiso was booked to perform at the venue, and her husband came out to support her. In the video, Kelvin can be seen dancing for his wife while she happily cheers him on.

It was a simple moment, but it carried a powerful message: they have decided to move forward together.

Many people expected the controversy to destroy their marriage. Instead, it appears to have forced them to confront their problems, rebuild trust and remember why they chose each other.

Their journey reminds us that one painful chapter does not always have to determine the ending of an entire love story. Forgiveness is not weakness, and choosing to rebuild after public embarrassment requires courage from both partners.

Matshidiso and Kelvin look happy and stronger together. The scandal may be part of their history, but they are refusing to let it control their future.

Sometimes love is not about never making mistakes. It is about whether two people are willing to heal, learn and find their way back to each other.

Would you forgive your partner and rebuild the marriage after such a public controversy?

Ten days behind bars.

That is reportedly how long Emtee has now been in jail after his bail was revoked over allegations that he sent WhatsApp messages to his ex-wife, Nicole, despite being instructed not to contact her.

Sometimes the biggest threat to your freedom is not a stranger. It is one message. One call. One decision made when emotions are still running high.

Emtee has fought many battles throughout his career. He survived industry problems, personal struggles and moments when many thought his career was finished. Somehow, The Hustle kept moving.

But this battle is different.

When the court gives you conditions, they are no longer suggestions. Whether you agree with them or not, breaking them can carry consequences bigger than the argument that started everything.

There is also another side that should never be forgotten. Court protection and boundaries involving former partners exist for a reason, and those allegations must be allowed to go through the proper legal process.

For now, one of South Africa's most recognisable rappers is sitting behind bars while the music continues without him.

Fame can open many doors.

But it cannot open a prison door.

Pray for The Hustle. 🙏🏾

BRA B MOKABA CALLS FOR SHEBESHXT TO BE FREED

Limpopo rapper Bra B Mokaba has publicly shown his support for Shebeshxt, popularly known as Shebe Maburna.

Bra B posted a picture of himself holding a hand-drawn portrait of Shebeshxt, accompanied by the message: “Free Shebe Maburna.”

He also expressed interest in collaborating with Shebeshxt if he is released, suggesting that he would like to be part of the Lekompo star’s musical comeback.

Shebeshxt remains in custody after his latest bail appeal was dismissed by the Limpopo High Court. Although his release remains a matter for the courts, Bra B’s post shows that some Limpopo artists have not forgotten him during this difficult chapter.

Could a Bra B Mokaba and Shebeshxt collaboration become one of the biggest songs of Shebe’s comeback?

Earlier this year, Janesh parted ways with her former team and stepped into a new chapter of her career.

It was a scary move. She was leaving the team she started her journey with and, for the first time, had to face the music industry on her own and find new people to work with.

But sometimes what feels like an ending is actually a redirection.

Janesh has now linked up with award-winning Naqua SA, and the two have already teased an upcoming Lekompo/Wedding sound collaboration that has fans excited.

This direction doesn't feel random. Since songs such as “Makoti,” Janesh has been showing signs of wanting to explore this kind of sound. Now, working with Naqua SA, the pieces seem to be coming together naturally.

The chemistry is there. The sound fits her. And judging by the early reaction, the fans are loving what they are hearing.
Maybe leaving her old team wasn't the end of something good.

Maybe it was the beginning of Janesh 2.0.

Could Naqua SA be the producer who helps unlock the next evolution of Janesh? And could this be the beginning of more collaborations between the two?

What do you think of this new Janesh sound?

You gave them your heart.

You forgave what should never have been forgiven.

You stayed when leaving would have saved you.

You kept choosing them, even when they stopped choosing you.

And one day, you realize something painful…

You had so much love to give, but you were never loved enough.

THANDO is not just a love song. It is for the person who gave everything in a relationship and was left with a broken heart.

If you have ever loved someone more than they loved you, this song will hit differently.

THANDO Wiky Neva featuring Catapilla & Manjay SA.

Listen to it. You might hear your own story.

Self-taught inventor Thembelani Zondo is building an artificial hand with the little resources available to him.

Thembelani Zondo from Bergville has been working since 2023 on a homemade artificial-hand prototype, inspired by people with disabilities in his community who cannot afford prosthetic devices.

With no sophisticated laboratory or expensive equipment, he has been experimenting with wires and materials available to him.

His biggest limitation is funding.

Zondo believes access to better materials, technical support and resources could help him take his invention much further.

“I saw an opportunity to help my community.”

And perhaps that is where the bigger story is.

South Africa may have many talented young innovators sitting with potentially life-changing ideas, but without the funding, mentorship and opportunities needed to develop them.

Thembelani has already shown what determination can produce with limited resources.

Now imagine what he could build if the right people invested in his potential.

LIMPOPO BOY’S UK SHOW SOLD OUT

After weeks of controversy, an apology and questions around his career, Limpopo Boy is back on the road and the audience is still showing up.

A few weeks ago, Limpopo Boy found himself at the centre of a major social-media controversy after a video involving Matshidiso Matilda circulated online.

He later apologised and recently shared his side of the story on Podcast and Chill with MacG. Limpopo Boy claimed he did not post the video himself and suspects someone who had access to his phone may have uploaded it. He also said he was later locked out of his TikTok account.

He further claimed that it was only his second time meeting Matshidiso and that he did not know she was married at the time.

After all the criticism, explanations and public pressure, Limpopo Boy has now returned to what built his name his work.

His international tour is continuing, and according to his latest update, his UK show is SOLD OUT.
There is a life lesson in his story.

Social media can make one bad chapter feel like your entire life. People will talk, judge and eventually move on. What matters afterwards is what you do next.

Apologise where necessary. Learn from the situation. Correct what you can. Then continue building your life.

Congratulations to Limpopo Boy.

Do you believe people deserve the opportunity to move forward after making mistakes?
