It is now high time and way overdue to mention the outstanding experience I had while on residency at Lion Sands Game Reserve during June and July of this year.

I am truly humbled by the SAFFCA invitation to explore the Bushveld environment at one of the exclusive flagship art residencies and partner sites of the Southern African Foundation and Fellowship for Contemporary Arts. During this residency, I explored the unique characteristics of all the wild animals I encountered in the reserve and was able to capture a series of animal portraiture in a wide range of expressions. eu_saffca.npc

Thank you to all the new collectors from around the world who crossed my path while I attended the artist-in-residency programme. This charcoal drawing of a Nyala will now form part of the MORE family collection at Lion Sands. The rest of the series will debut at my solo exhibition at the Glen Carlou wine estate in February 2025.

I also wish to thank all the professional staff - the rangers and trackers - who made my experience on residency extra special. It was a five-star experience and I would highly recommend this once-in-a-lifetime experience to everyone.

And a last big thank you to Alice Buckley who kindly took images of all my charcoal drawings.adele.buckley

FNB Art Joburg opened to the public today and I have the pleasure of exhibiting one of my latest lithography prints titled "Interrupted Leadership" with Atelier Le Grand Village.

This five colour lithography print has been long time in the making - starting in 2017 when I was on residency with Atelier Le Grand Village; and completed when I returned to the renowned lithography studio in France last year.

And the great news is that the Spier Arts Trust invested in an edition of this print at the VIP opening last night!

One of the top art events in South Africa, FNB Art Joburg is on from today until 8 September 2024. See you there!

I still have a few of these editions available and would like to use the proceeds to make a financial blessing. If you are interest in purchasing, please inbox me privately. I am currently based at the Ivory Lodge, Lion Sands Artist Residency in Sabi Sands.
