Main Character Trilogy Temi is BACK - and this one’s for the lovers ❤️‍🔥

Edinburgh Courtyard Upstairs 5 - 30 Aug @ 2:40pm Or oppression. It's about me!

Bobby Harding and Temi Wilkey present
MAIN CHARACTER ENERGY

This show is not about race. It's about how deserving I am of attention . . . A beautiful and supremely talented black actress is putting on an autobiographical one woman show to finally take up the space she's been so routinely denied. It's your privilege, your honour and your pre-eminent pleasure to give her all the attention she deserves. In this 'perfect send up of the one woman show' (Guardian) our heroine is forced to confront her insatiable need for attention in a show that is as self-aware as it is self-indulgent. A high camp cocktail of comedy and cabaret, this flamboyant parody is an uplifting and life affirming celebration of embracing your most authentic self.

YOU GUYSSSSS! 🥹 we’ve had such an amazing first week in Edinburgh and can’t wait to see more of you over the month 💋 believe the hype!!!!

‘An amazing, personal, introspective and hilarious show from start to finish with many amazing surreal moments. Tight and polished, with every word landing for maximum impact. A brilliant balance of huge laughs, thoughtful tenderness and genuine introspection. Highly, highly recommended.‘

‘Entertaining on all senses. Temi bares literally all for our sake. Relatable, bisexual comedy for qu**rs* and straights* (this is a wink to the show, just see it).’

‘I honestly have no other words than “get your ticket NOW”.’

‘GO AND SEE THIS SHOW! Temi’s last show Main Character Energy was my favourite show of the fringe in 2024 and she has smashed it out the park with Lover Girl too. I can’t believe this isn’t sold out already.’
