Happy Thursday all! Here is the finished colored version of my DTIYS entry. The character design is based on art challenge. I hope you like my version of this “draw this in your style” art challenge. She was fun to draw!

Happy Friday all! It has been a while since I’ve drawn a DTIYS character. Then I saw this challenge by and thought it would be cool to draw my own version of this retro surfer girl. I hope you enjoy this draw this in your style illustration!

Can you surf?

Happy Friday everybody! Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July celebration! Today I want to share my entry for Marvel Month art challenge hosted by the super talented ! Today’s prompt is “New Mutant.” Not familiar with this series but I know that Magik is part of that new X-Men team. So here is my take on “New Mutant” team member Magik! Hope you all enjoy!

Do you know who Magik is?

Happy Wednesday! Today I wanted to share some artwork on how I feel about Meta’s new terms of service and private policy. In short, I call this Meta Bully. Because Meta is going to take what it wants in order to “train” their AI. Or feed their database. They can fluff their policies with all their lawyer talk and make it sound like they care. But at the end of the day, they are a money hungry business. Gotta make sure them corporate CEOs get their bonus checks. And I get it, this platform is free to use, but for those who pay. I feel sorry for you all. Meta is going to feed their AI with any public post. This means photos of you, your kids, family members, cat, dog, and your art. I’m done ranting. Enjoy the bully in all of its glory made by a human artist.

Special note. Second slide is blank. Feel free to use this and create your own bully message. Make a statement or meme.

Happy Father’s Day! This piece is totally not dad related. But lately I’ve been looking at my work and I was like, I need to work on facial expressions 😅 So earlier this week I’ve been practicing facial expressions in my sketch book. And boy has it been a while since I’ve drawn or sketched anything on paper. It felt good and right. I think I am ready to take my work to the next level. I’m a gonna to try to practice more. I have some drawing goals set in my mind. Hopefully you will all see the fruits of my labor soon😅 For now, enjoy this facial expression drawing collage ✍🏻

Happy Friday all! MerMay maybe over but I still have mermaid art to share! This time a commissioned piece from a fan. They requested a mother and daughter illustration. The theme is the moment when the daughter transforms into a mermaid for the first time. Would you freak out if you transformed into a mermaid for the first time?

With Meta forcing AI down our throats I don’t appreciate the lack of care for our data rights. I do not like the idea of Meta AI scraping our post for their database. I’m sure people would be happy to consent to data scraping. If our data can be monetize, people will be happy to opt in. But no, Meta is a greedy corporation that will do anything it can to earn money. Stop the greed and stop the pilfering of our data content!

And for the record, Meta AI is prohibited to use my content for their AI database. No to generative images.

Happy Fin Friday! And in a blink of an eye we are at the end of May! Where did the time go? I wish I could have drawn the entire month of MerMay 2024 but work and being a father takes up a lot of my free time. Plus chores, endless piles of chores😅 Would really like to take a long holiday to some tropical island and enjoy a delicious margarita🍹

Which brings me to the last MerMay prompt “Aloha.” For this entry I thought it would be cool to design a MerMay 2024 postcard! And for those who have been following my work. I recycled the unfinished lagoon background and dropped in a couple of my MerMay illustrations in it! Didn’t take too long to use it! Flexed my typography skills for this one. Hope you enjoy the last design entry!

On another note, I would like to thank team for hosting another awesome MerMay month! .illustrates and did awesome hosting all the Instagram live shows! You gals are Fin-tastic! And of course, can’t forget ! Legendary creator 🙌🏻 It was good seeing you pop up here and there. You are awesome!

Lastly, thank you to my supporters for liking, commenting, sharing, and saving my MerMay 2024 design work. You all are Mer-Mazing!

Aloha MerMay! See you again next year!
