Happy Canada Day 🇨🇦❤️

Despite Trappers’ being over, we’re staying busy this summer. You’ve likely seen us painting faces at the Trade Show, the Friendship Centre for Kids Health fair, and at the Wellness Centre in celebration of Canada Day. Thanks to Reegan for letting us hop on the float!

If we’re not painting faces, rest assured that we are on duty for glitter tattoos. This past Friday, we attended SBMS for the Grade 8 Farewell. I’m so proud of my brother Evan, he’s off to high school.

Thanks to the organizers for inviting us to community events such as the Pride Parade, Opening Ceremonies for the M30 Indigenous Hockey & Volleyball Championship, and the Princess Ball(s) for JARS and The Pas and Area Animal Shelter.

Lastly, I was happy to organize The Pas Tri-Community Triathlon that took place on June 20th. It required lots of planning but couldn’t have happened without all the volunteers. 💜

WE DID IT EVERYONE!

We had a goal of making the top 5 in Manitoba, and thanks to our amazing communities, we did!

Our total amount raised was:

🐾🐾 $27 795.94 🐾🐾

And we were #5 in Manitoba...by a margin of ▶️ $18◀️

We appreciate everyone who volunteered time, bought cookies and spread the word for this campaign.

A huge thank you to Tim Hortons, and especially to our local store!

Thank you to all involved in this experience. Firstly Cheryl, my sponsor - The Pas Junior Curling Club and Kelsey Paddock for the means to host my special events in support of Northern Manitoba Trappers' Festival.

I am most grateful for the connections and memories made with 15+ amazing women. Recognition to the hard work and efforts from the Fur Queen Committee (Mama Krista, Madi, Ty, Nicole, Gianna), the Trappers' + youth board, and all volunteers. So very thankful for the love of generations - those I am lucky to call friends and family. You guys truly rock! 🥌🤘🏽

Regardless of the crown, I will forever be Miss The Pas Junior Curling.

This identity not only represents myself, nor a sport, but my family, friends, and our community club. It was fulfilling to extend my recreational reach as best I could to all age groups of those in the Tri-Area. Thank you for believing in me.
