Diane Lilli Art Where impressionism and abstract collide.

Original artworks in acrylics and ink combined with recycled and found materials to create a space where art and environmentalism coexist. Leaning into the versatility of acrylic paint I incorporate repurposed ingredients to connect small bits of reality with something completely not- think concrete mix, discarded wire, and old, broken holiday ornaments meet ancient landscapes, contrived realities, or the view from my window. We all need a break from the intensity drowning our world and I create art to allow everyone a respite from it, or a feeling of solidarity despite it.

Have you visited my website lately?
Someone once said "to learn about the artist is to learn about the art". Or, something like that.
In my online portfolio I share the reason why I use recycled materials added to the paint. Look closely. Cement, broken glass, corrugated cardboard, recycled wire, and bubble wrap- yes, bubble wrap are embedded into the layers of paint.
You might find yourself doing a double-take the next time you see me at a show. Recycled and reclaimed bits and pieces are placed within the art to help strike a balance between art and our environment.

Brought home two of my favorite pieces to hang in my home as inspiration - I feel like I'm sitting with old friends. I missed the work even with the frustration it brings, getting back into the head space to create.

I knew there was a reason im drawn to these colors.

Still struggling with the right name for this piece.
Not gonna sign it till it tells me who it is. Yeah. Artists brains are a little complicated at times.

These are the days of early mornings and later nights as the rising and setting of the sun brings me into awareness of this very short and glorious season with all of it's dazzling colors and sounds. Yet I don’t feel tired or sleep deprived, only awake and energized. I rise with the sun and settle into contemplation at the setting of the sun. And I am overjoyed.
