For 30 years, Rugby League was where I hid. My identity
It became my way of suppressing emotions and distracting myself from what was really going on inside. From the outside, I looked strong. On the inside, I was fighting battles I didn’t know how to speak about.
Sixteen years ago, I came close to becoming another brother gone without answers. I truly believed the world would be better off without me. Looking back now, I realise I wasn’t weak—I was hurting.
Creativity saved my life.
Today, every piece I create carries a part of my journey. It’s more than artwork. It’s healing. It’s culture. It’s spirit. It’s truth.
I’m no longer afraid to share my story because I know someone out there might need to hear it. If my journey helps just one person feel seen, find hope, or choose to keep going, then every brushstroke has a purpose.
Today, I’m proud of my artwork.
But I’m even prouder of the man I’ve become.
A man who knows his worth.
A man who walks with culture.
A man who understands that our greatest strength isn’t hiding our struggles—it’s having the courage to face them.
Keep creating.
Keep healing.
Keep showing up.
Your story isn’t over yet. 🖤💛❤️
