GOT.DRIP Streetwear & Records will be selling a selection of electronic music on vinyl at the next Amsterdam Vinyl Club:

Wednesday 9 September, De Nieuwe Anita. Free entry.

GOT.DRIP Streetwear & Records (De Clercqstraat 72H) has sold records at Amsterdam Vinyl Club shows in the past, and also at our Analogue Frequencies electronic music special in July.

"Most of my records are electronic music – techno, house, minimal, progressive, trance and all the different styles that sit between them," says Gauthier, owner of GOT.DRIP. "I also have hip-hop, because that's where my own musical journey began, so you'll find classic hip-hop albums alongside French and American rap releases.

"Everything in the shop is selected by me and I carefully curate what ends up on the shelves. If I don't genuinely like a record, it probably won't be here."

DJ Jaimy is one of Amsterdam Vinyl Club's longest-serving members – and we're thrilled that he's returning to the decks at our next show:

Wednesday 9 September, De Nieuwe Anita. Free entry.

DJ Jaimy has played for us at least four times, and he always dazzles us with his dexterity on the decks and his deep knowledge of house, UK garage and 2-step.

He's also a dedicated vinyl collector, with over 1,000 records in his collection.

"I’m a huge vinyl fan and I’m glad to see so much interest in the format again," he says. "After all, that’s where DJing started in the first place. In the 1990s all this music was coming from the United States – Chicago, Detroit, house music – and at the time I was playing all those records on vinyl, and listening to DJs play vinyl in the clubs.

"I like vinyl because it’s 'now', it’s rough. You can hear the needle dropping on the record. For me, vinyl just feels more real."

Damn Good Records will be selling a curated selection of rare vinyl at the next Amsterdam Vinyl Club:

Wednesday 9 September, De Nieuwe Anita. Free entry.

Damn Good Records (Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 371A) has been part of Amsterdam Vinyl Club since day one. Shop owner Ko always brings vinyl spanning a broad range of genres, including Japanese pressings and scarce editions.

"I've always been interested in unique, collectible and beautiful things – things that people enjoy, but especially things that I enjoy myself," says Ko. "Everything you see in the shop is really an extension of myself. I only buy things that I genuinely like, and I hope other people will enjoy them too."

We're thrilled that DJ Ermac will be playing a guest set at the next Amsterdam Vinyl Club show:

DJ Ermac has played for AVC many times, and often has groups of other DJs watching in awe as he skillfully flips and spins discs.

DJ Ermac is a showman on the decks!

"I’ve been a DJ for 25 years," DJ Ermac says. "I have a huge collection of vinyl which is split between Barcelona and Amsterdam, and over the years I’ve played in many clubs and at lots of small parties."

Hunting for rare Japanese vinyl? We've got a treat for you.

At the next Amsterdam Vinyl Club – De Nieuwe Anita, Wednesday 9 September – Hatchobori Records will be bringing along a selection of Japanese pressings for sale.

"I sell vinyl from Japan, specifically music by Japanese artists," says DJ Hatchobori, owner of Hatchobori Records. "When I DJed for Amsterdam Vinyl Club earlier this year, I played a little bit of everything – jazz, city pop, Japanese rap and so on. But I also played a little traditional Japanese music to mix it up a bit."

Exciting news, vinyl fans! DJ Fortuin will be playing a guest DJ set at the next Amsterdam Vinyl Club show:

Wednesday 9 September, De Nieuwe Anita. Free entry.

DJ Fortuin first played for AVC in July this year, treating us to a contagious set of joyous, upbeat vinyl treasures that flooded the room with good vibes.

"I’m happy when something I do makes another person happy," says DJ Fortuin. "It might only add a small twinkle to somebody’s life, but that still matters. Perhaps that’s my purpose: to create little moments of joy."

DJ Natashka (Oh La La), a familiar face behind the decks at De Nieuwe Anita, will be bringing house and Italo LPs and 12-inches, alongside nicely priced LPs and singles from all genres.
