So another thing that made Ku-Mbira Lounge Vol 6 beautiful was hosting officials from Music Connects Africa , plus touring artistes (Senegalese-Italian-Australian poet) and Daviaa (music producer & DJ from Reprezent Radio, UK)

The international guests were in Zimbabwe for Creative Economy Week, hosted by the British Council in partnership with the Embassy of Switzerland. It was an honor to host and showcase Zimbabwean music to visitors.

Ku-Mbira Lounge is a passion project music project, that creates meaningful conversations between emerging and seasoned creatives with an emphasis on empowering emerging artists. More than just a gathering, Ku-Mbira Lounge is an EXPERIENCE one that blends poetry, music, storytelling and community. At it's core it celebrates Mbira a traditional Zimbabwean instrument and original music compositions. Ku-Mbira Lounge is so dedicated to showcasing local talent in cozy settings that encourage genuine engagement and emotional resonance.

Thanks so much to everyone who came through on the 6th, we had such a beautiful night!

Happy New Year to you Mbira Lovers😊 we really do hope your year started on good note. We are excited to let you know about our first Ku-Mbira Lounge event for 2026 going with the theme: Celebrating Women's Month through Mbira Music Conversations on the 6th on March😊
