In all seriousness, throwing barbs at one another over a football game that none of us control, is all fun and games, and is what makes football season that much more fun as a fan.

Now to get serious with you., I thought I would take a minute to share my nightly prayer with you, One of the most powerful and impactful prayers in the Bible. It comes from:

PSALM 23

Psalm 23 (NKJV)

The Lord is my shepherd;

I shall not want.

He makes me to lie down

in green pastures;

He leads me beside the

still waters.

He restores my soul;

He leads me in the paths

of righteousness

For His name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through

the valley of the shadow

of death,

I will fear no evil;

For You are with me;

Your rod and Your staff,

they comfort me.

You prepare a table before

me in the presence of my

enemies;

You anoint my head with

oil;

My cup runs over.

Surely goodness and

mercy shall follow me

All the days of my life;

And I will dwell in the

house of the Lord

Forever.

AMEN

Take it upon yourself to say this prayer at night, before you fall asleep. I have personally experienced the power of prayer back in 1996, when son became ill.

God answered our prayers and son has lived a very healthy life since.

Sending out this precautionary message to all friends and family. Be careful with your debit or credit card. Someone got ahold of mine and tried to run up a food amount in charges.

I’ve read that there is this thing going around with small readers being placed inside gas tank payment slots. Once you get gas for your car, your card is then fraudulently read and card information sent back to a location where they duplicate your card.

Just in time for Christmas season, thieves are busy!! I have no idea how your card information can be taken like that. Because of the chip that is now placed inside the card. Some of you IT experts will have to let me know how they are still able to successfully read your card, still.

Needed to get this info out immediately.

I just went through a phone call with my bank and the agent notified me that he needed to go over a few personal charges.

That he needed my account number for us to get started.

What clued me in to this not being a call from my actual bank?

- first, it was someone supposedly from the bank, calling me about account information. Don’t you already have my account information we need to discuss since you are calling me????

- Guy I talked to had a foreign accent. When I asked to speak to a manager to validate that it was indeed my bank calling, the manager I then spoke with had a foreign accent!!

- so that’s when I immediately knew that it was a spoofing phone call. Crooks get the phone number to call you, then program whatever number that is into a software kit. So that when they do call you, it co es across your phone screen that it is indeed your bank calling.

So after a few choice words with the supposed manager, Lord pls forgive me, I hung up the phone!!

So when I called my bank this morning, to ask if there was anything wrong with my account, 2 numbers displayed across my screen. So then that confirmed that the person I had originally talked to from the bank. That displayed as my bank on my iPhone screen, that was indeed a spoofer.

So how do they even know you are a customer of the bank they are calling you about?

Easiest way now, is when you gas up your vehicle, there is a very tiny recording device that is in the slot you use for the card. They then get that information, cuz your name is in front of card, right? Then they call you to try and convince you to give them your account information, so that they can then further talk with you about issues just discovered with your account.

So the last thing I angrily told the rep earlier this morning, that I monitor very closely what I use me debit car for to purchase any items. And no I do not use my card in Houston over the Thanksgiving week. That’s a tactic they use to try and gain your confidence.

But the foreign accent from the two people I spoke with afterwards, were dead giveaways that no. This was not my actual bank calling.

Be careful out there yall, crooks nowadays are mighty advanced in trying to get your bank information.

As we meet with family and friends on this Thanksgiving, let us be reminded of the words from Psalm107:1, “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good, His love endures forever. May your hearts overflow with appreciation for the blessings we have received , and may we reflect on the words of 1 Thess 5:18, “Give thanks in all circumstances for this is Gods Will for you in Christ Jesus.”

In the spirit of thanksgiving, let us share love, joy and kindness with one another. Echoing the sentiments of Col 3:15, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. Since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.”
