Each piece is crafted with precision, aiming to bring a sense of nostalgia, tranquility, and contemplation to the viewer.

Welcome Tanis GRAY () to the Manitoba Society of Artists (MSA)! Your artistic talent has earned you a place among our esteemed members, and we are thrilled to have you join us.

The MSA recognizes extraordinary artwork through its juried membership. As part of this creative community, we look forward to seeing you at our upcoming functions and exhibitions.

ARTIST STATEMENT
My art is where wild things run free—alive with bold colors, rich textures, and joyful energy. I work in mixed media and abstract realism, painting animals in motion because they carry a kind of magic I can't resist. Layer by layer, I build up glowing surfaces that shimmer with curiosity and movement. I’m inspired by the way color can dance, how texture can whisper, and how something as simple as a flick of a tail or flap of a wing can feel like poetry. I want my art to make people stop and say “wow.” I want it to spark joy, to pull viewers in with its details, and invite them to stay a while. People often tell me my pieces speak to them—like there’s a story just beneath the surface waiting to be found. That’s the wonder I chase in every painting: a playful, powerful world where color leads the way and everything feels a little more alive.
