Recent rescue intakes, before and after. These two Axolotls experienced severe malnutrition due to a diet mainly consisting of bloodworms for the majority of their lives. However, with proper water parameters, a nutritious diet with nightcrawlers, and dedicated care, they have made a remarkable turnaround and are now thriving.

To surrender your Axolotl, please send me a private message including the age, diet, tank size, water conditioner brand, tank mates, and any additional information you would like to share.

Looking for forever home!!
This is “happy feet” can’t confirm gender till a year old but so far happy feet is a girl. She has 4 stubby little legs and some missing toes but that does not stop her from being the cutest little girl ever! She is smaller than the average Axolotl and will not grow to be full sized. Due to her size it would be ideal for her to not have any tank mates. Overall she is healthy, happy, eating well and in search of a forever home

Finding a suitable water safe hide for your Axolotl can be a challenging task. If you are seeking an Axolotl safe hide, consider contacting Chris Martindale, who can provide custom 3D-printed hides in various shapes, sizes, and colors. I recently ordered two hides from him, which were affordable and fully water-safe. Highly recommend (reminder to STAY AWAY from any hides made my Nate and jerimiah they are toxic and slowly leek toxins into the water)

Looking for her forever home!!

Luna is a 5 year old female wild type axolotl. She came into the rescue underweight with a bacterial infection which has since been treated. She has fully recovered and gained weight perfectly. She is now looking for a forever home! Luna is a healthy, active and adorable axolotl, she is also a very good eater and loves her worms. She has a slight deformity on her bottom lip, but it doesn’t affect her.

In search of a forever home!

Toothless is a 2 year old female leucistic Axolotl who came into the rescue in the beginning of december 2024. She was extremely malnourished and underweight with no gills. Although I was provided with very little information on her past care, I was able to find out she was kept in a 10 gallon tank that had no water changes for a whole year, she was only fed bloodworms and her tank's temperature was far too warm. After a lot of back and forth between wondering if she is morphing and talking to many different experts i came to the conclusion toothless is in fact NOT morphing. Toothless gills were extremely damaged due to her improper housing conditions although axolotls can regrow their limbs toothless most likely will never grow her gills back due to her gills scarring over instead of growing back while being in improper conditions. There is a very very slim chance they will grow back but it's highly unlikely. otherwise, toothless is a young healthy and active axolotl who is an amazing eater and loves her worms. When adopting toothless you must be aware there are people who will constantly tell you you're doing something wrong every time you post pictures of her online due to them not knowing her backstory or taking time to read it so they just jump to conclusions. If you look past her different looks you'll see she is a wonderful axolotl just like any other axolotl!!

Is it necessary for Axolotls to live alone? The correct answer is no! Some Axolotls may have a preference for solitude and exhibit aggression, but many others thrive in the company of others. These are some of my girls cuddling together on their hammock 🥰
