25 years ago (March 22, 1996) this very day we saw the release of Resident Evil, a genre-defining Survival-Horror game developed by gaming's one of the top developers Capcom. Saying Resident Evil was a massive hit would be a huge understatement because this game influenced countless horror games ever since its release, other benchmark Survival-Horror games like Silent Hill to Capcom's own titles like Dino Crisis, Onimusha, Haunting Grounds just to name a few. Over the years Resident Evil had many ups and downs from groundbreaking titles like Resident Evil 4 to some not so good games like Resident Evil Survivor and Operation Raccoon City but overall Resident Evil was and still is Gaming's and Capcom's one of the biggest IPs spawning Books, Films, Merchandise, and even other video game series like Devil May Cry. So today let's celebrate Resident Evil's 25th Anniversary for giving all of us many sleepless nights and changing the face of the Gaming Industry forever, and let's hope it'll continue to do so because the future of Resident Evil is looking really bright and hopeful.
