Next improv course is Thursday nights! If you're an actor, a public speaker, or just someone looking to have some unique fun and make new friends, there's little better you can do than join an improv class.

Whether you're an absolute beginner or got a little experience, our class environment adapts to your needs and we'd love to have you. Classes start March 9th.

Let us know your questions. You can join us at our intro workshop on March 5th if you want to get a little taste of what improv is like, or if you have a lot of experience, our Level 2 course is starting March 18th.

Whether you're new to improv or you're a more seasoned performer, this course is geared for all experience levels. Last month I taught an incredibly rewarding and elightening acting intensive with some very talented actors. The exercises we explored and the lessons I learned have dramatically shaped the curriculum I'm developing for upcoming courses. Here's a short clip of an improvised scene from that intensive. We're rebranding! It's a new year and we're getting a new name, new look, new priorities. Our vision is the same — high-quality compelling art, a professional hard-working atmosphere, and a culture of respect and inclusion.

It's been quite a journey. Our lovely little company has produced many shows, taught hundreds of students, and touched a lot of lives since its inception in 2014. We’ve accomplished much. We are proud of where we’ve been and immeasurably grateful for all the help we’ve had along the way.

Looking to our future, rebranding just makes sense. We've been Alamo City Improv for five years. In that time, the Alamo City has been a wonderful home for us in which to grow, but our new goals include producing shows in more than just one place. And improv is still a big part of what we do, but in truth, it's never been our exclusive focus.

Moving forward, we will be the Vibrant Heart Theatre Company. Stay tuned in coming months for new classes, private lessons, and a special production.

32 people signed up to audition for our show and only 7 were cast. It was difficult to narrow down the list and we are so grateful for all the support this show is already getting.
