We were so encouraged to see 80 men at last nights Act Like Men evening conference. More than anything, we are deeply grateful to God for using Ben to point us to the living hope we have in the resurrection of Christ.

This year we are starting to look at Gospel Foundations.

Pete Stewart did an excellent job kicking off the series preaching on the death of Christ and what that means for us as men.

Please pray for the men who came that the message of the cross would stay with them, shape their lives and move them to boldly proclaim this good news to their communities.

The next conference will be August 25th // Andy Prime // The Resurrection of Christ.

Tonight, we’re welcoming men from across the city for our Act Like Men Evening Conference.

We’ll be looking at John 19:17-42 as Pete Stewart preaches on the death of Christ.

Some questions to get us thinking;

1. Why do we need to remember Christ’s death daily?

2. Why must the Church guard this doctrine at all costs?

3. Why should we proclaim this to our communities?

Kevin DeYoung said this, “The cross of Christ is the only place where the love of God and the justice of God meet. On the cross, Jesus was treated as if He had lived your life, so that you—by faith—could be treated as if you had lived His. He took the blow we deserved so we could have the life we couldn't earn.”
