Dearborn Community Fund - A 501c3 non-profit organization that supports arts, cultural and recreational programs that enhance quality of life and contribute to the vibrancy of the city of Dearborn, Michigan. The Dearborn Community Fund is a non-profit organization that contributes to the vibrancy of the city of Dearborn, Michigan, by supporting arts, recreational and cultural projects and activiti

es across the city and at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center (The Center). The Fund provides financial and volunteer resources to support initiatives that enhance the quality of life for those who live, play and work in Dearborn while maintaining Dearborn as a creative and dynamic city. In partnership with the City of Dearborn and other community organizations including Dearborn Public Schools, the Fund takes a leadership role in presenting programs and opportunities such as:

* Dearborn's Art In Public Places Project - sponsoring outdoor sculptures on display across Dearborn and elementary student workshops in partnership with the East Dearborn Downtown Development Authority (EDDDA) and West Dearborn Downtown Development Authority.

* Youth Arts Dearborn Festival with the Dearborn Public Schools in April at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. Free admission.

* Pockets of Perception (POP) student design team - Public art project in which students representing all high schools in Dearborn work with instructors, artists and business people to design and install a permanent public art project. Past projects are a mosaic in the John D. Dingell Transit Center and sculptures in two public parks. The DCF is a 501c3 non-profit organization. NCECA Ceramics Conference Featured Exhibition (4 Days Only!)

March 24th - 27th
Artist Reception: Friday, March 27th 6-8pm.
Gallery Hours: 10am - 5pm

Beyond the Garden, brings together 11 artists whose practices engage with clays’ inherent materiality to investigate themes of ecology, the Anthropocene, and the hidden centrality of the Earth. Using their work to bring attention to climate crises, loss of biodiversity in plant and animal life, the ever-increasing issue of waste throughout our environment, or to create a moment of reprieve and quiet these artists ask us to slow down, pay attention, and contemplate what truly matters.

Featured Artists: Sarah Conti, Bridget Fairbanks, Trevor King, Anna Kruse, Julie Moon, David Morrison, Sun Young Park, Abbey Peters, Grace Potters, Jason Lee Starin, Michael Takahata.

It’s time to shine a spotlight on the stars of our creative community! The 2026 Mayor’s Arts Awards are officially approaching, and we need YOUR help to celebrate those who make our city vibrant!

📍 Where: Studio A, Ford Community & Performing Arts Center

🗓️ When: Monday, May 20, 2026 @ 7:00 PM

We are looking for nominations in five categories:

🌟 Artist Performer Award – For impactful local artists.
🏢 Organization Award – For groups advancing the arts.
🤝 Patron Award – For the generous supporters of our creative scene.
🍎 Arts Educator Award – For teachers inspiring the next generation.
🧡 Volunteer Award – For those giving their time to keep the arts alive.

Unleash Your Child’s Creativity at Our Vibrant Summer Art Studio Camps!

Dearborn, MI – This summer, ignite your child’s imagination and artistic spirit at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center’s captivating Summer Art Studio Camps! Tailored for young artists aged 7 to 14, these immersive camps offer a transformative space where creativity flourishes and self-expression thrives.

Each week of our themed camps invites children on a delightful journey of exploration through engaging, hands-on art activities that stimulate their creativity and refine their artistic skills. Guided by a team of talented and certified art educators from Dearborn Public Schools and the College for Creative Studies, parents can have complete peace of mind that their young artists are in the care of experienced professionals passionate about fostering their creative growth.

Camp Details:
When: Monday through Friday, from 10 am – 3 pm
June 23-27, 2025 / July 7-11, 2025 / July 21-25, 2025
Where: Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, a vibrant hub for creativity!
Cost: $275 per child per week for residents; $300 for non-residents
Lunch: Campers are encouraged to bring a packed lunch and snack. An optional lunch package is available for added convenience.

Enriching Camp Themes:
- Week 1: June 23-27
“Dive into Creativity” Ocean Themed Art Camp (Ages 7-11)
Dive into a week of artistic adventures inspired by the wonders of the ocean. Through a myriad of imaginative hands-on activities, campers will experiment with colors, textures, and techniques that allow their creativity to flow like waves!

- Week 2: July 7-11
“Art in Motion: A Creative Journey Through Movement” (Ages 7-11)
This exhilarating week melds movement with artistic expression, encouraging campers to think outside the box. Children will engage in a variety of stimulating activities that invite physicality into their creative process, leading to a dynamic and fun-filled experience.

- Week 3: July 21-25
“Heroes & Villains: Epic Character Design, Comic & Manga Creation Camp!” (Ages 11-14)
Step into the captivating world of comic books and character creation! This engaging camp guides aspiring artists through the thrilling process of designing their own heroes and villains, culminating in the production of a personal comic book that showcases their imaginative storytelling and unique artistic journey.
