DirtyFeet and Critical Path announce that March Dance will not be continuing in the coming years. This decision was not made lightly, as we deeply value the platform March Dance provided for the dance community and the creative energy it brought to our city. We remain passionate about the capacity for a dance festival to bring visibility to our artform.
However, after much consideration, we have come to the conclusion that current resources are not sufficient to sustain the festival in the way it deserves.
We thank everyone who has been a part of March Dance—our partners, artists, audiences, and supporters. Your contributions have made March Dance a vibrant and essential part of Sydney’s cultural landscape. We will continue to advocate for the growth and sustainability of the arts. While this chapter closes, we look forward to continuing our work to support the dance community through our respective programs.
