Last night was very emotional & enriching for me 🙏

First, I went to Prithvi Theatre for Nadira ji’s 50 years celebration of Ekjute.

I started my Mumbai theatre journey with her in _Lower Depths_, _A View From The Bridge_ and _Yahudi Ki Ladki_. For two years I learnt what discipline and theatre truly mean. I had just finished my short course at NSD, and knowing Nadira ji & Raj Babbar ji from Delhi made me feel at home in Mumbai.

Later, I went for Ganesh Maha Aarti at Meenu ji’s place from Gangaur Sweets. Beautifully organised. For me, Gangaur is family.

Lovely coincidence — aarti was with Hema ji & Jeetu ji. I have worked with both — _Rihayee_ with Hema ji and _Jaal_ with Jeetu ji. Time really flies!

My Last Week — Full of Love & Blessings 🙏

14th September was magical — Ganpati Bappa arrived, it was my daughter’s birthday and Hindi Diwas — all on the same day!

Same day, we opened our new comedy play at Rangshila, Versova, Mumbai and the audience gave us so much love.

On 16th, I went to Jaipur for the Rajasthan Forum meeting. Founded by Sandeep Bhaturiya ji, Chairperson Vishwa Mohan Bhatt ji. It was a gathering of who’s who from the art world and I felt humbled that 99% of them were Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan… and only yours truly was there who is not!

There I heard Padma Shri Jaur Khan ji singing Pandavani in Mewati style, met Bhapang players, and met my old companion Gulabo. We went to Albert Hall together.

At home, I met my sister Tripti Pandey I missed my mother, father and brother Piyush a lot.💔

While returning, I was feeling a little emotional, but Bappa gave me two beautiful gifts.

I met Spanish fans who knew my Bollywood songs! And at the airport, I met an oncologist surgeon. His mother told me that when he was 6 years old, he used to wear a lehenga and dance to my song ‘Bichhuda’ and win the first prize! And on my request, he danced for a minute right there in front of everyone.

What can be a bigger award than this? True love of the audience who doesn’t know you personally and still appreciates you, connects with you and wants to listen more of you.

I live because of this love.

Ganpati Bappa Morya — keep blessing us so that I never disappoint my audience.

हिंदी सिर्फ एक भाषा नहीं, बल्कि हमारी शालीनता और संस्कार है। गर्व महसूस कीजिए अपनी मातृभाषा पर, क्योंकि यही हमारी असल पहचान है। 🙏❤️

🚨Teachers’ Day Special Announcement 🚨
Teachers’ Day hai toh socha kuch naya shuru kiya jaye.
Teacher ka kaam hi hota hai apne kalakaron ko aage badhte dekhna. Hum theatre wale hain, toh humne socha apne young actors ke liye kuch karen.
Isi soch ke saath hum *Surnai Theatre and Folk Arts Foundation* ke young kalakaron ke liye ek naya natak lekar aaye hain hamari *Qutb Khana* series mein.
🔴Qutb Khana matlab?
Qutb matlab Kitaab aur Khana matlab Ghar. Matlab hamari library, jahan kitabein rehti hain.
Hum koshish karenge ki purane sahitya ko wapas stage par layen. Pehle kaisi bhasha hoti thi, kaisa humour hota tha, kaise likha jata tha... aur woh shabd jo ab kho gaye hain. Kabhi kavita, kabhi kahani, kabhi ek monologue.
Isi series ka pehla play hai -
🔴Surendra Gulati ji ka likha hua comedy natak ‘Maajra Kya Hai?’
Ye natak asli Urdu mein hai, jo hamare young kalakaron ke liye thoda challenging hai, par hum chahte hain hamare kalakaar achchi Hindi, achchi Urdu aur achchi English sab seekhen.
Shuruaat kab?
Jab sab log bade dhoom-dhaam se Bappa ko vida karne ja rahe hain, Ganpati Visarjan wale din, unhi ke aashirwad se hum apne naye natak ki shuruaat kar rahe hain.

In our home, patriotism has always come first.
And that same spirit lived in my brother, Padma Bhushan Piyush Pandey.
He would proudly hoist the tricolor at home, chest out with pride.

During Covid, when stepping out was difficult,
he created such a beautiful film with Ogilvy.
In our family, we’ve always had deep respect, humility and love
for our country and our soil.

Piyush always used to say - *”Jhande gaad do”*
And his proudest moment was
when our soldiers hoisted our nation’s flag on the Himalayas.

And he did hoist flags...
Not just in the world of advertising,
But in the world of friendship and humanity.

On the 80th anniversary of our nation today,
I humbly say to everyone:
*Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Man Tiranga*
*My India is my ❤️
