One of the oldest optical illusions in the world is carved at Tamil Nadu's Airavatesvara temple. The remarkable piece of art from Chola Architecture is said to be 900 years old.

In the image above, a bull and an elephant share the same head. When the body and legs of the animal on the left are removed, the creature on the right side looks like an elephant. But if the elephant's body and legs are removed, a bull remains. The sculpture is an ancient example of ambiguous brain teasers.

This is the Welsh Baptist chapel that gave me the foundation of that well used saying, "With the love of God in your heart, go out and do it'. Heol Y Felin, Trecynon, Aberdare, Glamorgan, Wales. Religion pulled people together, the Welsh bible played a huge part in the maintenance of our indigenous Welsh language and culture. As the chapels have faded, the total immersion Welsh language schools have taken up the challenge and are springing up everywhere in Wales, primary feeding into secondary schools and onwards..

DILUTION IS NOT THE SOLUTION TO POLLUTION. Last week I was on a zoom with a classroom of children in a school in Cynon Valley, SouthWales. They are studying my style of art around the theme of "Life on the Ocean Waves". This what I came up with.

Te Hoko Whitu A Tu is by the bridge over the Puarenga stream in Whakarewarewa. It is a monument to the brave Maori who volunteered to be shot at.. Down in Government Gardens is the Cenotaph war memorial. Both are part of the ANZAC day experience
