We are proud to announce that this year, Prague Actors and Filmmakers Film Festival welcomes Dimitrios Kannavos as a member of the Short Film Jury Committee.
Dimitrios Kannavos is an accomplished journalist and international media professional with extensive experience in international relations, investigative reporting, humanitarian action, and civil protection. Since 2007, he has been actively involved in volunteerism, guided by the belief that journalism is not only a profession but a mission of responsibility and social contribution.
He serves as a Member of the Audit Committee of the European Association of Journalists – Hellenic Section and is a Founding Member of the International Association Cretan Journalists and Mass Media. Through these roles, he promotes journalistic integrity, professional ethics, and international cooperation within the media landscape.
In 2012, he co-founded Hellenic Media Group, an independent international media and communication network that fosters quality journalism, cultural initiatives, and strategic institutional collaboration. He is also the founder of the Hellenic Los Angeles Network, a platform dedicated to strengthening ties between Greece and the United States through culture, media, and international partnerships.
Throughout his career, he has received multiple distinctions, including international journalism awards, honors for social contribution, and recognitions for his role as a jury member in international film festivals such as the Bridges International Film Festival and the Cyprus International Film Festival.
We are honored to have Dimitrios Kannavos join this year’s jury panel and contribute his international perspective, professional integrity, and multidisciplinary expertise to the festival.
