Meet Our Grand Final Adjudicator!
Bravura Piano Competition is delighted to announce Andrew Dunlop as Grand Final Adjudicator for the inaugural 2026 competition.
Andrew brings a wealth of experience as a performer, educator, and musical leader, and we are honoured to welcome him to Bravura.
Andrew Dunlop is a versatile musician who has performed across the UK, Spain, France, Ireland, Switzerland, USA, Japan, Germany, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. He is currently the Head of Music Staff & Principal Pianist for the Australian Ballet, having formerly served as the Head of Music for Northern Ballet, a Principal Lecturer of Piano at Leeds Conservatoire, and as an ABRSM examiner. As an orchestral pianist he has work with orchestras such as the BBC Philharmonic, Hallé, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Manchester Camerata and the Liverpool Philharmonic performing as a soloist with orchestra including Opera Australia Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony, Queensland Symphony, Orchestra Victoria and the Northern Chamber Orchestra.
Andrew received his Doctorate from the Eastman School of Music in New York as a Fulbright Scholar graduating 1st in his class having previously studied on Full Scholarship at the RNCM in Manchester (UK), where he won all the major piano/chamber music awards. Andrew was born and raised in the Highlands of Scotland.
At Bravura, we are committed to providing competitors with a professional and inspiring performance experience. Having an adjudicator of Andrew’s calibre involved in our inaugural year is a testament to that vision.
We look forward to welcoming Andrew to the Bravura Grand Final in November and are excited for the insight, expertise, and encouragement he will bring to our finalists.
