Are you a homeowner whose primary residence is in need of repair? The City of Pinellas Park may be able to help with a home improvement reimbursement grant. Home improvement reimbursement grants can be used to make repairs and improvements to a homes exterior.

The Home Improvement Reimbursement Grant Program is designed to reduce ongoing future maintenance costs, promote energy efficiency, and to preserve decent affordable owner-occupied housing.

The City of Pinellas Park offers a Home Improvement Reimbursement Grant Program to assist qualifying Pinellas Park homeowners with financial assistance for home improvements needed at their primary residence. Sliding scale funding opportunities are based on the Department of Housing and Urban Developments (HUD) 2022 Area Median Income (AMI) levels for the Tampa Bay area.

Funding for the Home Improvement Reimbursement Grant Program is based on the City of Pinellas Parks approved budget for each fiscal year, which is October 1 through September 30. Available funds are limited and not guaranteed to remain consistent from year to year. Projects that address emergency repairs for safe and healthy habitation, code violations, and accessibility needs will be considered the highest priority.

In accordance with guidelines set forth by the United States Department of the Treasury, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), home improvement grants awarded by the City of Pinellas Park are taxable and subject to IRS rules for filing Form 1099-G.

All applicants must meet eligibility criteria to qualify for grant funding from the City of Pinellas Park. For more information about this program or the eligibility requirements, visit: https://www.pinellas-park.com/DocumentCenter/View/9940/ADA-Updated-Home-Improvement-packet

The Pinellas Park Senior Center Fitness Center Annex (7625 59th St. N.) offers classes on Tai Chi on Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings from 9:00am-9:55am. Hope to see you there!

A low-impact, relaxing form of exercise, Tai Chi is an extremely effective exercise for both the mind and body. Many seniors are unsteady on their feet and have an extreme fear of falling and Tai Chi can make them feel stronger and more stable—taking away that fear and adding to their personal sense of well-being. "Meditation in motion" is a phrase that's often used to describe tai chi and it has many benefits for seniors, including:

• Improves balance, helping to reduce falls; also strengthens muscles in the legs and increases flexibility and stability in the ankles
• Improves core strength to enhance stability and reduce back pain
• Improves cognitive functions and memory
• Reduces depression, anxiety and other emotional or mental health conditions

Is there a free Sunday symphony concert in Feb???
Love the shows they put on. Unfortunately the seating is way to tight. I personally have come across thid problem everytime we go to a show. I was not able to enjoy Tommy Mara and the Crest tonight due to having to squeeze my shoulders to fit between to people next to us. The man next to my hudband was hanging over 3 inches into my husbands seat.
At THIS VENUE - NEXT weekend!
