“Some of the Stuff This Hand Knows”

I am posting this on my own, no one asked me to and I have no affiliation with the group I am promoting. I am sending this out to everyone in the Geneva, Canandaigua, Manchester, Newark, Phelps and Clifton Springs region, but, it can apply anywhere.

I want to encourage you to check out a group who is making a huge effort for all regional artists and those who feel strongly about the arts in Ontario, Wayne and Monroe counties. The group is called 7ARTS FLX.

If the Arts are important to you, and you want to see them thrive in our communities, please give your support in whatever way you can to 7ARTS FLX. This group is pursuing many diverse goals and could use your help. This group is a not for profit 501 C3 charitable corporation registered in the state of New York.

If this seems of interest to you, the group can use everything from office supplies to donations to volunteers. They are currently offering memberships and even seats on the board of directors.

All communication goes to Kristen Barber, president of the board and she can be contacted by phone or text at 315.332.0296. I encourage you to find out how you can help bring the arts to all our communities.

If you never look at anything else on this page. If you ignore all my art here. Please, just take a couple minutes to watch this video - especially those who feel something about the art they make or view. Then, take just another moment to think about what this gentleman so succinctly put. Here’s the question that comes to my mind.

”What happens to the 98%?”

“This Hand Knows Things” - Clifton Springs, NY

Here’s a thought…… I know so many of you who are artists and/or like art for the feeling you get from it. My idea is:

How about we start an informal group of us. It could be looking at new art work, finding examples of art which you have discovered, describing an outing to a gallery, finding an artist to come for a viewing and chat with us. I’m good with whatever we decide.

I think details will develop but maybe a once a month get together for a couple of hours and, each meeting, could be planned or not. I’m open, but I think the fun part would be to be a bit spontaneous.

No cost, just fun. We could put out a donation jar for snacks and call it good.

Is there any interest? Let me know in the comments or send a text - 315.210.2217. I hope you will be excited for this!

“Untitled” - August 11, 2026, Tuesday.

To be honest, this photo - of course, modified - is just a study in shapes, perspective and lines. The shapes come from a distorted perspective and the lines generated by the perspective I kind of made up.

Here’s the thing. Doing these kinds of modified photos allows me to get some perspective on myself. By that, I mean, finding ways to picture modified scenes allows me to see sights I encounter every day, in ways which might present as feelings and not just photos of what my eyes actually encounter.

Knowing and utilizing the tools I have at my disposal give creative freedom to experiment until something inside my artistic sensibilities clicks. So, as you view this image, it is less important to identify reality and more about learning something about me - and maybe about yourself.

Like, comment, follow and share at will! Have fun!
