Veteran DJ Colin King returns to the Boat Club (Notts.) with Memory Lane Disco for another fun packed night of Motown, 70’s & 80’s anthems.

Over 200 people danced the night away at our last Soul/Disco night.

Our events are NOT request events.
Reasons we DO NOT play requests.
We only take about 500 singles, Motown, Soul and Disco.
If we play from 8 until 12.00 (4 hours), then we shall be lucky if we manage to play 40 tunes.
We cannot possibly guarantee:
1. We will have the record you want from 50 years ago.
2. It will fit in with the dance music we are playing at the time.
3. There would be enough time to play the requests.
Our last time at the Boat club we were asked for between 60/70 requests. Just to play them, if I managed to find them, would have taken 7/8 hours. We were asked for Showaddywaddy, Rubettes and a number of other tunes that I would not have even played, when they were in the charts 40/50 years ago. I worked in many nightclubs throughout the East Midlands and my job is to keep the dance floor as busy as possible all night. And that is what I intend to do.

Hi all...

It's been a mad few weeks and we've been very busy working in the background for our next event on June 18th @ the Boat Club, Nottingham.
It came to our attention that 90% of our last crowd were single, so we've decided to promote the event as a singles(ish) night, but obviously we are open to all.

Tickets: £10 Early Bird (£15 normal)
