Big thanks to CBC Newfoundland and Labrador’s Zach Goudie for putting together this great little piece. We had a wonderful Opening Night! 🎭

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to see “Play On” last night. Your laughter, applause, and support made for such a memorable evening. There is nothing quite like hearing an audience enjoy themselves from the stage!

We’re still running tonight and Saturday! I’d love to see more familiar faces in the audience as we celebrate Theatre CBS’s 5th anniversary with this hilarious production!

In between painting and composing for harp and piano, I am also involved in this upcoming Theatre CBS production. Shaping up to be another great show featuring tremendous local talent and exceptional direction. Feeling very fortunate to have the opportunity to hit the stage once again! 🎭

Jacqui Cook is a familiar face for Theatre CBS audiences and residents. A musician, composer, published author, artist, and former music teacher, Jacqui studied Educational Drama in England. A founding member of Theatre CBS, she has appeared in It’s a Wonderful Life, Ageless, A Christmas Carol, Fairy Tale Fun, Duckish, The Old Woman in the Vinegar Bottle, The Hollow, and Understanding Wonderland. In 2025, she played Dana in the Moonchild & Me production of Elegy and Ever After.

Jacqui plays Phyllis Montague in Play On! - the charming but annoying playwright who just can't stop herself from writing and rewriting her play Murder Most Foul.

Don't miss this great performance! June 25-27 at All Saints Parish Hall in CBS. Get your tickets at https://buytickets.at/theatrecbs/2210462

🎼 “The Journey” is an intermediate-level harp piece that combines flowing tenuto passages with rolled chords to support expressive musical storytelling. Left-hand sequences offer valuable technical development, while the music builds steadily toward a powerful, dramatic finale. Rich in momentum and interpretive potential, it invites the performer to shape a compelling sense of arrival. A great piece for students looking to build their repertoire.

During the pandemic, I began composing more seriously and found myself writing piece after piece. What started as a creative outlet eventually grew into more than 100 original works. 🎼

To hear ten of those pieces performed by the incredible harpist Kristan Toczko is something I never imagined when I first put pencil to paper. Hearing these works interpreted by such a gifted artist has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey for me.
