🗣️ Storytelling is one of the most powerful tools we have — for healing, for connection, and for cultural preservation.
✍️ Put It In A Book, the nonprofit partner of Black Pearl Books (Austin's only Black-owned bookstore), is accepting applicants for Put Your Story in a Book: A Community Writing Project. This free, monthly program welcomes participants of all backgrounds — especially those who have never considered themselves "writers" — to gather, write, reflect, and be heard.
📖 We believe your experiences are not only valid — they are essential to the collective record of who we are.
⭐ If you or someone you know could benefit from this space, we'd love for you to share this post or apply directly yourself.
Here's what it looks like:
→ Monthly meetups at The Torch Center (June, July, August)
→ Writing prompts and mentorship from Amanda Johnston
→ A real community — not just a class
→ Free. Always.
