After a long period away from my brushes and paints, I have been working over the past few weeks to rejuvenate my painting skills and hope to be able to share new content on this page in the near future. Thanks to those who have supported and encouraged me in the past and I hope you will continue to do so as I work toward refining and improving my art.

One area I hope to focus on is my dog portraits and I have developed this promo poster to show people what my work is like; anyone interested in getting more info on this can PM me on this page. Please feel free to share!

So, I decided to try my Antigonish Landing painting a second time. Gen really likes the scene and I did too so I re-painted it and here’s how it turned out. Never the same of course but the sense of serenity is still there I think.

The painting process is a fickle one if you work with watercolour. The last painting I did and and posted was of the Antigonish Landing. The final image was bugging me and I felt it needed something more so I added some wildlife (ducks again!). Then I sprayed the image to protect it. However the protectant caused a blemish which to some degree spoiled the effect I was trying to accomplish. In any case, I thought I’d share the result because I haven’t posted in a while. Who can see the blemish??

Have not posted anything in a while. Here’s a new one of the Antigonish Landing that Gen has claimed already lol.

This is the largest painting I've done. 14 x 20. It's from an old photo I found of our sorely missed dog Shadow running free at the golf course. All my children wanted a copy so I am going to make some prints for them. (shhhh.. one of my lovely sisters already has a small print of it).. I call it Shadow's for obvious reasons..

Hi Folks: Thanks to everyone who took the time to check out my new FB page and leave comments, likes, etc. Almost 1300 contacts in just three days!! I’ll post a few paintings each day to keep the ball rolling. Some will be for sale and others will be those already gifted or sold. I’ll try to note where they are not for sale.

Here is a small painting that I gave to my sister Theresa and her husband Camile. The result was that they commissioned me to do two more to display with it! Thanks you two!

Feel free to share if you’re so inclined..

This is something a bit different. It was painted with only two brushes. A hake brush and a rigger. This style of painting is very much more expressive than the more realistic work I usually do but it's great fun and often the results can be surprising.
