EDIT: SHE IS ALSO DEAF!!

I was contacted by a veterinarian clinic about this young golden doodle that was scheduled to be euthanized. She has been diagnosed with lockjaw, also known as trismus. Lockjaw is usually a symptom of tenus, a bacterial infection that can be contracted through open wounds. Dogs and cats are usually resistant to it so it’s rare for them to contract it but can happen, like in the case of Georgia.

I have zero room and truly don’t have time to find another dog a home but she literally had an hour before put to death and I just couldn’t have that on my hands so I asked if any of the veterinarian staff could foster her while I try to find her a home, the vet himself offered. Yay! This is what he had to say about her…

This is Georgia the golden doodle we talked about yesterday. I had her evaluated by my friend who is a doggie dentist. She said that Georgia even with surgery may never be able to open her mouth wider than she does. She has been good with my kids ages 8-16.
No problem with my other 3 dogs. The lockjaw doesn't need to be done for her to have a good quality life. She can eat, owner has her on a home cooked dinner, but she can eat canned food like Purina EN just fine. She is also smart and understands a few hand gestures.”

It’s so hard to find perfectly healthy dogs homes so I know this is going to be very difficult to find a home for her. I truly hope I can find her hero out there. She doesn’t deserve to die. She deserves a forever home.

Bear is a 5 month old toy poodle who is a wild man. Lol. He’s all puppy and loves to play with dogs. He will definitely tire out any dog he’s around. Lol. He’s a fun little guy ❤️
