We’re so excited to cheer on our friends at Birmingham Village Players as they prepare to open their season with one of our favorite musicals, Once on This Island!

Auditions are happening this weekend, and this is such a wonderful opportunity for performers to be part of a beautiful, vibrant, and deeply moving story.

Take a look at the audition call, share it with a talented friend, and give it a try. We can’t wait to see this production come to life!

This is WHY we tell the story so join us at the playhouse to audition for Once on This Island, a beautiful musical that tells the story of Ti Moune, a peasant girl in the French Antilles who falls in love with a wealthy boy, Daniel, and makes a deal with the island’s gods to save his life, ultimately proving that love is stronger than death and prejudice. This award winner is known for its joy, soulful music and powerful message.

Auditions: Saturday, July 11, at 10 a.m. and Sunday, July 12, at 1 p.m.

Callbacks: Monday, July 13, at 7 p.m.
