Good morning,

We are just a few days away from our second weekend with our promotional and fundraising stand at the Moira Steam Rally.

We had a great start last weekend and, following the success of our Hook-a-Duck attraction, we have been working throughout the week to expand some of our traditional funfair activities.

We look forward to seeing you at the rally, held at the Miner's Welfare, Moira, DE12 6BP, from 10:00 am each day.

The countdown is on to the Dry Stone Walling Association Summer Fete at Great Hucklow, and here at Eyes on the Community we're busy making the final preparations for our fundraising and information stand.

With the weather looking set to be kind to us this weekend, we're excited to meet members of the local community, chat about what we do, and introduce our upcoming photography and art workshops.

After walking back down from the Old Man of Storr, on the way back we stopped off when we saw these rowing boats moored on Loch Fada... battling the midges, and having to wait on long shutter speeds, slow moving boats, mists that kept hiding the Old Man... it took a while to capture the one shot where everything came into alignment and held still long enough, and remained visible long enough for the shot. The hole in the mists revealing the recent sunset colours, surreal and beautiful. +Available as a print or canvas ;)
