We champion artists and makers from Essex, Suffolk, and Cambridge. We do not accept buy-in items or 3D printed products. Our events take place in unique locations across Essex & Suffolk. We are committed to championing local small businesses, whether they are makers, artists, designers, or producers of their own products(no buy-in or 3D printed products), and giving them the chance to reach new customers.

On Sunday 13th September 2026, we will be bringing 25 wonderful stallholders to Finchingfield Village Green as part of the brilliant Finchingfield 3-Legged Race. 🎉

It’s set to be a fantastic afternoon of makers, shopping, cheering, laughter and community spirit — and we’d love you to be part of it!

Grab a partner, tie those legs together and take on one of Finchingfield’s most entertaining village challenges. Whether you’re racing to win, browsing the market, supporting friends and family, or simply coming along for a fun day out, there’ll be plenty to enjoy.

Fancy trying something a little different at this year’s Finchingfield 3-Legged Race? Make sure you stop by Tea & Brisket for a delicious food offering served from their charming 1965 Austin J2 camper.

They’ll be serving hock-based toasties on sourdough bread, complete with a tasty dipping pot — perfect for enjoying while soaking up the atmosphere on Finchingfield Village Green.

The Finchingfield Three-Legged Race is back on Sunday 13 September 2026 on The Green, Finchingfield.
Join us from 12pm–5pm for a brilliant family day out, with free entry for spectators.

Marion Stevens from FinCHE Community Group said the event is “one of the highlights of our village calendar,” bringing people together for fun, laughter and community spirit while raising vital funds for local young people.
Enjoy children’s races, food and drink stalls, the Three-Legged Race Makers’ Market and the Dog Show hosted by Pristine Paws, Finchingfield.
Bring the family, cheer on the racers and enjoy a fantastic community day.

Say hello to Twisty Christie at the Finchingfield 3‑Legged Race and discover beautifully hand‑made, hand‑printed pieces. Twisty Christie carves blocks to create printed cards, and also brings small carved items like spoons and Christmas decorations, plus artwork and community-inspired projects.

Recently retired from the NHS and now running this new creative business, Twisty Christie’s work is full of personality—perfect if you love independent makers, handcrafted gifts, and original art.

Stallholder Spotlight: Meet Threads at the Finchingfield 3-Legged Race

Threads creates beautiful make-up bags, toiletry bags, storage containers, doorstops and scrunchies.

Each piece is lovingly sewn using carefully chosen fabrics from UK suppliers, including velvets, chenilles, cottons and linens. New to the market scene, Threads is currently growing on Etsy — moving towards made-to-order pieces, defining a signature colour palette, and expanding into tote bags and aprons.

With just six weeks to go, we wanted to share the schedule for the day so you can come along and plan your visit!

Alongside the races, there’s so much more on offer this year — including our Makers’ Market and a Craft Area, where children can enjoy some creative crafting time and visitors can watch live demonstrations from local craft people.

There will be so much to see and do, and it’s shaping up to be a brilliant day out for all the family.
