Mark your calendars folks! This Friday marks the First Friday of the season.

On the first Friday of every month, galleries, studios, shops, and local businesses in the Historic District stay open late so you can wander, shop, and enjoy community events. It’s free, it’s open to everyone!

This year, something exciting is happening, First Fridays has expanded across the Historic District. Multiple neighborhoods are now joining in, each with their own events and openings.

Here’s what’s going on this Friday:

KIT CARSON ROAD
Catch exhibition openings, new paintings, live music, a woodblock print demo, and more, all along Kit Carson Road.

UPPER BENT STREET | 4–7pm
Head to Upper Bent for a puppy adoption event with Stray Hearts, a stone carving demo, a student art exhibition, and a Snip n’ Sip class at 5:30pm. Light refreshments all evening.

PASEO NORTE | 5–7pm
Stop into magpie for the opening of Tizia O’Connor’s “Sea Scrolls” — a gorgeous Mediterranean-inspired series making its return to Taos.

LEDOUX STREET | 4–7pm
Visit the Harwood Museum of Art on a pay-what-you-wish basis, and catch an artist talk with Debra at Omni Hum Gallery at 5:30pm.
